Coming to Rize and resting in nature's calm is great, but what if you want some adrenaline and historical exploration? Fırtına Valley is one of Turkey's best water sports and ecotourism centers. Here's a daily route to make your Çamlıhemşin trip unforgettable:
Start the Day with Rafting
Fırtına Creek is one of Turkey's most productive rafting tracks, fed by melting snow and rains all year. Especially in spring and summer, the creek's flow reaches perfect levels for rafting.
After this adrenaline-filled experience, don't forget to try the famous red-spotted trout at facilities along Fırtına Creek.
Journey into History: Stone Bridges
The historical arched bridges from the Ottoman period, made of cut stone, connecting the two sides of the valley, are symbols of the region. Most famous bridges for great photos:
Çat Valley and Magnificent Zilkale
When you turn south from Çamlıhemşin center toward Çat Valley, you're greeted by steep slopes and lush forests. The biggest surprise of this road is **Zilkale**, built like an eagle's nest on steep cliffs.
Coolness at Palovit Waterfall
Going about 15-20 minutes further from Zilkale, you encounter **Palovit Waterfall**, Rize's highest-flow waterfall. The natural coolness from water droplets hitting your face is indispensable in summer.
**Almara Bungalow Location:** Our facility, located on the Fırtına Valley route, is perfectly central to all these activity and tour areas (Zilkale, Rafting facilities, Ayder). After a day of touring, you can return to your home within minutes and get into your jacuzzi.
